The NDR Nationals 2024 Schedule has been solidified.

NDR Qualifier Rally - August 3rd and 4th, 2024

Open Track will be available for personal testing on Thursday, August 29th

Nationals Championship - August 30th - September 1st, 2024

Check out the revised format this year as outlined by our attached Schedule documents. The City of South Charleston and the South Charleston Soap Box Derby Association have been working hard to provide not only a great facility for our race, but also off track facilities and events for you to enjoy during your stay. UPDATE - 06/24/2024

Due to Masters running on a different day then Stock and Super Stock, we will be allow drivers (if they so choose) to run both the Masters division and either Stock or Super Stock as long as they are age eligible for the divisions.

UPDATE - 08/15/2024

To accommodate breakfast at the Host Hotels which starts at 7 am, we have adjusted the Saturday and Sunday start times of Drivers Meetings from 7:30 am to 8:30 am. Please plan accordingly so you can still check in prior to the meeting so we can start on time.

Arrival Notes

Welcome to NDR Nationals 2024!

The Little Creek Park is a fairly large park with numerous roads that can get you to the track. However, the section of the park surrounding the Derby Track will be closed down for our event only. Please follow signage so that you end up in the correct area for parking. You will not be able to get to parking if you follow the alternative paths due to road closures.

All Parking will be at The Rock which is situated below the run out area. You will be taking a left shortly after entering the park and passing some of the initial pavilions and parking areas. See Track images below for more details.

Lodging Information

The South Charleston Soap Box Derby has obtained blocks of of hotel rooms at multiple hotels for both the NDR Rally weekend and NDR Nationals.

For the NDR Rally weekend, room rates are available from August 2-4, 2024. The blocks are available for reservations through 11:59 pm on July 11, 2024. As of 12:00 am, July 12th, the blocks will be closed and the discounted rates no longer available. So, please make sure to book your room before it is too late to get the best rates.

For the NDR Nationals weekend, room rates are available August 29 - September 2, 2024. The blocks are available for reservations through 11:59 pm on August 7, 2024. As of 12:00 am, August 8th, the blocks will be closed and the discounted rate will no longer be available.
